looking at mizuno irons.
what would be the benefits or extra help id get in travelling all the way to Wrexham as opposed to my local shop?

thanks in advance

Depends. If your local shop/pro has the swing DNA system, a launch monitor and a well stocked fitting cart of heads and shafts, then you should get a pretty decent fit from them.

A good pro geared to fitting clubs is going to be just as good as the fitting centre but with a wider choice of clubs - don't go with your heart set on a manufacturer or set of irons, try loads you never know.......

I went to Oxford Golf Centre and had a Mizzy fitting. But once I'd done the Swing DNA I had a choice of Titleist, TM and Callway as well as Mizuno. Go to a National centre and you'll only have a choice of Mizzy - but that's not all bad!!

What they said! :)

I've just had a fitting session today at my local driving range, the pro there has all the gizmo's and knows my swing.

Plus as I use him for lessons there is a bit more interest from the pro IMO - 2 1/2 hours for the session!

If you have your heart set on Mizzys having the swing DNA seems the most sensible option at least as a starting point. Any club pro who is a recognised Mizuno retailer should have access to one if you didn't want to go to a specialist fitter. However with so many clubs on the market now why restrict yourself to one maker.
