Did You Play Today?

We did, got soaked on the 10th and thought about calling it, loads of people walking in.

Stayed out 33 points and a 2 so pretty happy with that. Can not see the winning score being too high and with plenty walking in should get some order of merit points.

Anyone else go out today and how wet did you get?

Played this morning , it was lovely here until about 2pm then lashed it down.

Flippin did!

Had to play a 4bbb knockout and decided that it would be impossible to rearrange within the dates allowed. At 5 down and starting to move away from the clubhouse we conceded!

Yep played in the medal. Was going ok until I took 12 at our 12th and then walking up 14 got hit in the chest by an errant tee shot off 13 which left me winded and a little shocked (no shout of fore). Ended up with a pretty hideous score of 92 not breaking 50 on the way home in less than perfect conditions, howling winds and some pretty persistent downpours. Oh and my Galvin Green jacket failed and will be being returned

Played all 18 in a greensome,certainly not my favourite format.
Only rain lightly for 3 holes and no wind.
Forcast was 40-50mph

No golf at all today. Was pretty heavy this morning and was tempted to try get 9 holes in this afternoon but the heavens opened again!

4BBB competition got called off as we had just finished the 9th hole as the greens started getting standing water on them and no sign of the rain easing. Furthest point away from the clubhouse too.

We were a couple under in difficult conditions so might have had a chance if it hadn't of been called off.

Got 15 holes into a 27 hole club major before the thunder and heavy stuff started. Hooter went off and no chance of restarting.

got the club. stood in the trees by the 3rd green watching scouser come up the fairway. the heavens had opened!


went to the range with odvan and smashed balls into the terrible weather!

glad we didn't head up any earlier!

Nope and quite glad I didn't. Looked tricky with the blustery conditions and unpleasant at times with several drenchings and thunder

Wanted to play this weekend but due to having the "snip" Tuesday thought I would give it a rest roll on next weekend

yep.. came in after 9 when they sounded the klaxon, in the clubhouse for a coffee then back out 20 minutes later.... struggled back nine, but scored 33 points so happy with that.

Inter club betterball comp played today. We were first out at 11 and only had heavy rain for a couple of holes around the turn. It was really hot and clammy until the rain came and it then cooled down considerably. The later groups weren't as lucky and had rain for almost half their round accompanied by strong winds.
