This year Black Friday seems to be very widespread. Looks like we have finally succumbed to the American way of life. I tried to buy stuff online, but Tesco, Argos, Currys were all down almost the whole day. Finally bought a Nespresso machine from Debenhams shop in the town centre today (for Friday prices).

Did anyone else buy anything (golf or non-golf) this Black Friday??

Nope, as I said in another thread you can get discounted golf purchases on 'not the current range stuff' on web sites on a constant basis. And I have not been sale shopping for about 15 years so I ain't going to start now. Life's too short in my opinion. Baa humbug. ;)

We were talking about this on the course today. If there is something you were going to buy anyway and can get it for a good price then fair enough but don't understand this mentality of buying something just because it's a 'bargain'.

Reminds me of my ex wife and all her shoes and handbag bargains

We got a nespresso dolce gusto machine. We both like nice coffee and when we saw a £100 machine for £40 we couldn't turn it down. Didn't go out looking for one but at that price we thought we may as well seeing as we were in tesco anyway. Had three drinks from it so far so that would be about £10.50 in costa. It'll pay for itself within 2 weeks saving me from going to the shell garage on the way to work.

A Garmin G6, a Loudmouth Golf wind shirt for myself and a pair of Loudmouth golf trousers for each of my boys as Xmas presents and a sewing machine for Mrs Colch. All of them were things that were planned purchases and so we waited to see what the best deal would be. Have probably saved myself over £500 all in for stuff we were going to get anyway.

And all of it done online so I didn't have to go and batter any chavs in Tesco to get my hands on any of it. :D

Got a couple IJP tops , fleece and beanie hat plus a few xmas pressies from Amazon

HID bought a food mixer but not in the Black Friday sale she trawled round to find the one she wanted and then another trawl to find the cheapest supplier

I got the last half price toaster in ASDA, I had to head butt a pensioner who was showing some interest in it and kicked a young child who was looking at it in the shins. I did however save myself £5. I can't wait for next year and the matching kettle.
