Hi,

I just wondered if anyone has had any experience of a club fitting with this company. My dad has booked in for a fitting with Andrew Ash. We've discussed a few times about going to Gainsborough to the Ping factory but he thought it may be better to look at a broader range of options.

I've had a look at the website for this company and I haven't heard of any of the products he fits (Alpha Golf, Wishon Golf, Hiseki). Could just be my ignorance and the fact that the big commercial companies get so much coverage but I think I'd be wary of anything I hadn't really heard of.

If anyone has any knowledge or experience with this company or these brands, I'd be keen to know your thoughts.

I've got Wishon 555m blades and 919 and 929 woods. The best thing you can do is look at Tom Wishon web site, watch his videos and make your own judgement.

He is the godfather of club design and has been head hunted by major companies but refused as he didn't agree with the mass production of OEMs. He spent 6 months individually building and grinding Payne Stewarts Spalding clubs in 1999 just before he won his final major (US Open) before his death. Each grind was to Paynes spec and all different.

I personally don't like OEMs and prefer something more individual but his clubs are far from inferior. Just be open minded.

Yep, wishon certainly knows his stuff.

A good club builder will make a massive difference. Better so than one of the big impersonal manufacturers.

Seems like another fitting studio. Component heads (Wishon, KZG, SMT and own brand) are typical and very good quality.

I'm a fan of these set-ups.

He should, however correct the spelling of the product he has exclusive UK distribution! It's Hiskei, not Hiseki!

Disclaimer: I'm a Wishon stockist and I know Andrew and have spent a few days in his workshop.

You certainly wouldn't be wasting your time paying him a visit or looking at the products he uses. They are top quality, and like Foxholer above said, have a look through the Wishon website. Alpha products are also very good.
