Hey all just come back from the driving range using my 6 iron. The iron is 2nd hand however ive never noticed this dent in the shaft before. Its quite low down and small however is it something I need to worry about and is only cosmetic? It isnt effecting play.

As you can see it doesnt have any effect on the angle of the head and it is only small, however better to ask and be safe :)

I would be worried if it were me. I'd be concerned that sooner or later it will snap. As someone who had to do the walk of shame at the range to rescue an iron head that had come off on Thursday, the damage and hitting hard mats wont be doing it any favours

Any cylinder with a dent will be weak. Think of how a beer can bends. If it is round it is difficult, but as soon as you put a dent in it, it collapses.

That is where my 3 wood started to go, couple of weeks later on the course it snapped. For me kit was not worth paying the money to have it fixed. Your local pro should be able to give you a price mate.
