Grand Slam Winner
A guy on Golf Magic contacted me a couple of weeks ago, letting me know he was a member of Boars Head and did I fancy playing in a medal competition on Sunday.
Agreed to meet him around 9.30 for a 10.00am tee off.
Another friend of mine, (Khalid), is also a member there so arranged to meet him at the same time and introduce him to this guy.
Anyway, arrived at the club at 9.30, went into the clubhouse with Khalid for a quick cup of coffee before teeing off, no-one else in sight.
Hung around until about 10.15 and no sign so Khalid and I decided to tee off as a twoball.
Played in the comp, went home that afternoon and was notified by HowdidIdo that the results were up for the comp.
Checked the scores and noticed that the guy we had agreed to meet had played and scored 36 points.
Well bugger me if yesterday he posted on Golf Magic that he couldn’t play over the week-end because he was suffering from a really bad bout of ‘flu.
Beware the internet….especially HowdidIdo. It can catch you out
