Hi all just wondering if anyone has seen and bargains recently for Gortex waterproof. I know it's slim but hoping to grab a bargain whilst it's summer ( even though our medal got called off due to rain today) happy to hear people's recomendations aswell. Obviously Galvin green will be popular here but I'm aware lots of other company's are doing waterproofs of a good quality.

Cheers

Just had a look on county golf and they have some nice callaway and Ping waterproof jackets. But they are not Goretex.

If it's goretex then it works. It doesn't need to be GG.

Not strictly true. I had a pair of Sunice trousers which had the 'through' type pocket slits to allow you to get to your normal trouser pockets. The design was awful, they leaked like a sieve and I got completely drowned in them. Yes Goretex is waterproof but you need to check out the design of the garmets as well.

Blimey, that's a pretty obvious design fault 😞

Yes, not what you expect from a decent company like Sunice but I learned my lesson the expensive way

Dirst pair of waterproof teousers I had were walking trousers. There pockets were mesh lined. Brilliant until it rained. Might as well of walked around with holes cut in your trousers.

Two of my jackets are Sprayway bought from Blacks. Never had a problem with either of them and they had the advantage of being about two thirds of the price of golfing jackets.

Golf specific jackets I have bought Proquip and Sunderland in the past with no problems.

Trousers again Proquip and Sunderland. I have also got Proquip Tourflex and found them as good as Goretex.
