Decent course in the south you can play as a visitor on a Sunday

My brother in law is over from Australia for a week for his grandads funeral. We always play a round at a good track when he travels over but Sunday is the only day we can play this time.

Most places are members only at the weekend. Is there anywhere within 2 hours or so of Milton Keynes that you can play on a Sunday that doesn't charge the earth

Thanks in advance

Try Pavenham Park - think its about £28

AVOID!!

Much better off going to somewhere like John O'Gaunt or Aspley Guise. Bit further south there is the Shire which is good fun as it's got 6x 3's, 4's and 5's

That would certainly be my normal recommendation!

However Brockett Hall is doing a Twilight Deal - £60 pp (£210 4-ball)from 3pm (applies Sunday) that looks better!
Either course! Both are really good! Environment is superb!

Depends on where it is but somewhere up to £70 to £80

With a decent budget like that then you could try the Oxfordshire, Forest of Arden (both available on tee off times), you may be able to get on at Brocket Hall if you phoned and asked, otherwise slightly nearer and cheaper would be somewhere like Luton Hoo (which whilst not my favourite im told is in good nick) or as already mentioned Collingtree (which seemd in good condition for the europro last month)

I wouldve offered you to come to Aylesbury Vale but it may be at the low end of what youre looking for and im playing the monthly medal (and the tee is well booked) :(

If youre still struggling feel free to ask again and ill try again lol

Edit: Seems Brocket Hall is on tee off times for £71.25 or £52.50 after 3pm

if thats not your preference then you should be able to find the others on there using the search function

Thanks everyone

Not really heard too much about the shire but sounds like its worth a visit. The oxfordshire is doing a £100 four ball this week due to green maintenance so may also give them a call and ask how much they will be affected

Played there last week, not my cup of tea at all, lots of fiddly par 4s, far better options at the price op is prepared to pay imo

I agree. Only just above decent Pay & Play quality (don't know of any of those in that area!).

Definitely worth checking whether Greens Maintenance is happening though. That would spoil most rounds of the style planned - and may be why Brockett is offering deals! Stunning greens are part of the attraction there - and the ferry across to Melbourne's 18th green to putt for Birdie/Eagle or an 8 to 10!:whistle:
