His intro was ," hello good evening and welcome". But now its a sad goodbye while on a nice cruise , he may meet up with with Allan Wicker and say hello----. oops.

Saw him live at the London Weekend studios in 1970/71 doing The Frost Report.
He was a real star in the making.
Mind you with a cast that included The Two Ronnies, John Cleese and Roy Kinnear he could hardly go wrong.

Many folk do not realise how funny he was before he did serious interviews.
