It’s a problem that hits all at one time or another, so how do you cope?

I was out on Saturday & found I was totally unprepared for the temperature. I thought I had the right clothing, drinks & headgear but still suffered!! Any tips?

As background it was 34 degrees, my chilled water ran out on front nine, the iced tea at halfway hut was in too small a cup, I forgot suntan lotion & despite a hat I still burnt my neck

Help!!

Take an extra bottle or two of water. Don't forget the sun lotion, wear the right clothing. Keep your head covered.

Happy to help.

In all seriousness though, i'm not sure what 'tips' you're after other than to organise yourself a bit better before heading off for a round.

Cheers Whee, its just one of those silly threads given the tough time folks back in the UK are having with the cold snap & the various cold/frost threads & for the first time I get to be the idiot who posts that he's lucky enough to be playing in the sunshine :-)

Oh fair play then.

I was playing in about 8 or 9 Degree semi-sunshine on Friday - bloody cold. I was the only idiot that had managed not to bring a fleece or wear trousers. Shorts and a polo shirt, suffered up until the 16th hole with no feeling in my right hand, still managed to shoot 4 under my handicap - over the moon with it.

Must admit though, reading the news (agan) this winter with complaints of under-prepared services failing to deal with a dusting of snow, it does make me glad i'm away.

Will definitely need to be purchasing some warm gear for golf when I return home!

^^^^^^

No problem, maybe I should have titled the thread "When one chilled towel at the 18th isn't enough" ;)
