Day 3 of the away golf - The Grove

After Sunday at Littlestone where I played absolute pants and day 2 at Royal Cinque Ports where my game returned somewhat, today I played The Grove in an HSBC competition. Off 3/4 handicap my partner and I secured 43 points and a win!

I last went to the Grove for the first day of the World Championship some 10 years ago but it all came back to me how much I had wanted to play it after seeing it and today was the first opportunity. Out of the three courses in the last 4 days I would pick Royal Cinque Ports as my firm favourite but a number of the holes today were/are quite exquisite!

It was closed yesterday due to frost, I thought it was pretty good given the weather we've had but every time I got to my ball it had a clod of soil on it! The greens were reasonably quick and the facilities and food were first class
