David Orr @ Mairns Castle

I'm thinking of having a serier of short game lessons over the winter. I was wondering if any of the forum members from the West of Scotland had been to this guy? He seems to have a decent rep. Anyone heard anything? Cheers.

I take it you mean Mearns castle? Assuming it's the same David Orr, he used to be attached to Caldwell GC and is a really nice guy as well as a good coach, i've had a few lessons from him and found him very knowledgable, also seen him standing hitting hundreds of balls in the short game area. Good luck , let us know how it goes. Just had a rethink, i'm sure the lad i'm talking about had a brother that played on the euro pro tour, so could well be him.
