And that is why I dare not play at Clydebank & District or Dalmuir ;)

Dalmuir is where I learned to play golf many many years ago, played hardgate ;) acouple of years ago when I was back at a wedding if they two were my only choice of courses I reckon I wouldn't be a golfer any longer.

Its a whole different world that side of the bridge ;)

Played Dalmuir hundreds of times and was a member of Hardgate (Clydebank & District) for 12 years.

Saw quite a few battles on the fairways incl a running gang fight three times. some really good people at that club as well as some superb golfers

Only played dalmuir once. Main memory is all three us hitting the fairway on one hole only to see a pair of wee gits running out of the undergrowth and stealing the balls!

Happened to me and my host at Mortonhall too - and reasonably common at The Braids and Duddingston apparently. Even nearly happened at Ladybank, but my host scared them off. No frightening the ones at Silverknowes though! The likely culprits at Bellshill were too 'Buckied up' to bother!

H'mm, there's a common theme in those courses! :D
