Dangerous Courses?

The club celebrated its centenray in 2003!

There must be a limit on the number of players on the course at any time but I can't see anything on the web site.
Maybe a hooter sounds and six groups tee off, then you can't play from the next tee until all groups have finfished their respective holes.
And make sure you've marked your ball!

Whatever happens, you'll soon get good at reading the greens.

Not sure how its dangerous. Just a six hole course with variant tees to give a bit of variety. No different from playing a 9 or 18 hole course; it just can't cope with as many players.

On the other hand, that's a lot of intersecting fairways.....

A course near me has two holes where the fairways cross over, then on one of these holes while you are on the fairway there is a tee box which tees off over your head albeit quite high above but I would hate to be there if someone topped one off the tee.

There are certain areas of The Old Course where balls can be flying at you from several directions.

And there's a sequence of holes on one of my old courses where there could be danger from multiple directions.

But that looks almost set up to be dangerous!

Anyone else noticed there are also some long walks from greens to the next tee. Green 1 to Tee 2, Green 3 to Tee 4, Green 9 to Tee 10 and Green 13 to Tee 14 stand out. You can bet there will be people walking across fairways to get to the next tee while not paying attention just to add to the fun.

On the old layout at Puttenham GC they had a summer tee and a winter tee for the second hole.
In the winter you played over the village cricket pitch Par 5, in the summer you played round the side par 4.

On a summer Sunday afternoon you stood on the tee and prayed you did not hit a hook.
This resulted in big yell and a scattering of 15 cricketers followed by some hellish looks when you collected your ball for a free drop.

I wonder if the course in the OP has a risk assessment for every hole and provides it to players before playing - one way or another = if I were them I would have one.

I thought it was just a concept course showing that you only need 4 tees and 5 greens to make an 18 hole course, didn't realise it was real!

The worst I've played is the front 9 at Santa Clara for being a bombers alley!

A place near me has the first tee shot playing right over the 9th green which always seems a bit stupid to me as it's not really necessary they could just shorten the 9th hole by 10 or 20ft

They provide a days golf insurance with the green fee, tells you all you need to know
