I know it happened yesterday, but still very sad news that ex footballer Atkinson died yesterday. It appears that there were family problems.
Enjoyed watching him play particularly when he was at Aston Villa, thought he was a decent player who scored a great goal against Wimbledon in 1992. The celebration was great, when in front of the Villa fans in the rain at Selhurst Park, Dean Saunders jumped on his shoulders and a Villa fan came onto the pitch with an umbrella and Dean took it to shelter him and Dalian Atkinson from the rain.

Bit of a journeyman and had a lot of clubs here and abroad but definitely a talent. Haven't heard too much about the circumstances but a sad loss

Very sad. He was outstanding for Ipswich but I felt he moved on too soon and never quite fulfilled his potential.

So he was ALLEDGEDLY tasered, repeatedly kicked after being tasered and there's calls for all Officers to carry guns? Yeah right.

Imagine the carnage they'd cause.

No doubt those two coppers involved will be looked after.
