According to the Daily Mail today, we are about to be invaded by 29 million Bulgarians and Romanians! Don't you just love the Daily Mail?

29 million is prob an extreme number but a great deal will arrive soon to work here

Apparent so yes (according to the Mail), so there will be two totally empty countries! They should be nice and peaceful anyway!

Is that actually what the paper saying that they "will" move here or are they saying they "can" move here

Still think it is right to highlight the potential problem though. I can remember when Polish were first able to move over here a Government study expected around 30,000 to 50,000 if I remember correctly and in fact over 800,000 of them came over. As LP says most media is pants not just the Mail

Some more so than others, but the tabloids are particularly bad.

Well it's very hard to distinguish who is who these days

But going back to the OP - the Mail are highlighting a problem that the country could face soon

And without me seeing it I would guess that it's in a very scaremongering style of headline.

They're not the only rag to be peddling this line though. Both the Express and Star also had this as a lead story.. It should also be noted, that despite the Express being routinely ridiculed for its Weather headlines, both the Mirror and Sun have recently started to rotate the same rubbish...

I swear that sometimes when I'm reading the rival rags when I'm at work, I'm not sure which is which... Journalism is dying on its arse...

I gave up reading newspapers a long time ago
