Anyone that read any of my other threads will note that i had issues with the lie of my Irons, It turns out they are a whole 1" longer across all the Irons, at only 5,10 that's far too long. My pro said he could cut them down, but i'm slightly worried about the flex points.

What would be the suggestion? Shall i flog them on ebay ( I should make money), get them cut down? Or give them to my friend to try who's 6,7 and plays standard length clubs!

Sounds like an excuse for something newer and more shiney

Cutting an inch from the butt of the club would make no difference at all , think about it, you would usually grip the club an inch down anyway and I would of thought most of the flex comes from the first foot up the shaft.

The weight of the shaft would change

I'm not sure of the difference after the shaft has been but down. But an inch is quite alot, I know my old man got a set of his cut down half an inch, and said they just didn't feel the same. He's been using them for about 15 years!

You guys are a terrible influence however, I probably should go back to my old R7 TP's, but instead i find myself looking at a shiny orange cobra AMP set.
