Custom fitting - Scott gourlay

I recently posted a thread on custom fitting asking if it was all that. After reading everyone's comments I've looked into getting custom fitted and , Scott gourlay in Edinburgh looks like my best bet. Has anyone used him before? And what should I expect when I go. Away on holiday next week so looking to book fitting when I'm back in August .

knows his stuff and has the kit, point to note though you'll be hitting into a sheet and have to rely on trackman to calculate the ball shot shape.

He's a good fitter, I take it you have an idea of what you're after before you go to see him ? Talk to him and ask questions of him if you're not sure.

Basically I am going there with my ears open, I believe that I can get down to single figures with good coaching and am looking for irons that are going to benifit me. I hit my current irons pretty well, but I'm always looking to improve. I've sent an email through his website so just waiting on reply

I will do thanks, and I hope he would. Seems to have a good reputation.

He fitted me for mine, was pretty thorough and knowledgeable, nice chap aswell, I'd go back. He also let me hit a few balls outside once we had settled on which was the best head/shaft combination for me

I've now been to Scott for 2 drivers, a set of irons and some putter help

His service is second to none, and he'll also carry out post fitting adjustments if you need them as part of the deal. Granted, hitting into a screen on trackman takes a little adjustment but the overall fitting experience is excellent. He's recently massively expanded the range of shafts & heads that he carries in his studio

You really won't be disappointed :thup:

Just had a great fitting in Edinburgh not too far from SG. Was able to trial Taylormade, Callaway and Titleist clubs and compare them to my own. This was on a range as well so good to see the ball flights.

If anyone is still looking I'd recommend considering [Mod edit] for custom fitting.
