Cross Country Golf

Playing in my first cross country golf comp tomorrow.

Should hopefully suit my current game the way I've been spraying the driver about.

Did this years ago now, was a right laugh and used up lots of pick ups going over some pretty severe rough cutting corners enjoy!

Did this last summer and it was great fun. There is another one set for July.

Good idea if the course is half covered in frozen snow and would normally be closed.

I remember as a teenager a group of us played from the far end of the course to the 1st green late one summer evening.
The shot to the 2nd green was blind over some buckthorn and the member practicing his putting was not amused to find half a dozen balls suddenly flying through the air.

We did something like tee off on the 1st, hole out on the 10th. Next one, tee off from the 5th and hole out on the 12th. It's a "fun" mixed at ours.

Ours is played in 4 man teams, Texas scramble format, some of the holes we are going to have to play are going to be tough so I'm taking a bag full of old balls as I can see me losing a few
