Having flicked from time to time to the golf channel, i have now realised it is the home of the cringe advert! It all started with the K1 speed and Sam's comment on the 10th at the Belfry, "go ahead, rip it on the green!" Then followed the rota net, cant see her indoors to pleased if i put this big green net up in the living room. But the worst was yet to come. Yes, my God, its what i have needed all these years, as is says in the advert, "the most exciting, innovative golf product to come on the market in years." How did i ever manage without the RANGEHOLDER. I can jump on my bike, rangeholder strapped to my body (with the free shoulder strap) and go to the range not worrying where im going to put my keys and mobile phone.
PLEEEEZ stop this torture!

Good call Lipout,
I too flick the golf channel on in the slim hope there might be something on it worth watching. I agree The Belfry segment is appauling tv.
I was horrified to see a former hero of mine Kenny Dalgleish on there promoting some crappy FAST irons with T Jacklin, why on earth would he stoop to this -he doesn't need the cash and there's no way he plays those usually.

I'm wondering if Jacklin was using his K1 speed driver up at Carnoustie with his FAST irons. Did anyone see?

The only thing on the Golf Channel worse than those Ads has to be "Yoga for Golfers". Oh Lord.

The only good thing about the Rangeholder is that the views are great free advertising for Glen Golf Club down in North Berwick though.

I coudn't agree more about the appalling standard of advertising on the Golf Channel, and others. I just take comfort from the fact that they are not aimed at me, but at another section of society which is more impressionable.

Just ignore them - go and make a cup of tea.

What? Dave, how can you not be tempted by "the Perfect Club" or "the Alien Wedge" ? They're guaranteed to knock shots off your handicap...or your money back. Aye right.

What about that KNO8 who does the advert for the perfect club. The only time I would use one of them would be to smash his coupon in (and I am a pacifist, I would pass a fist to him anytime) Are we meant to believe that the chopper shanking the 4 iron with a swing like the elephant man suddenly turns into Fred Couples when this piece of tat is handed to him? As a fellow poster said ........

AYE RIGHT MUPPET !!!!!!!!!!!

FELLOW GOLFERS ... WE MUST MAKE A STAND. WE MUST NOT LET ANYBODY INTO OUR CLUBHOUSES, LOCKER ROOMS OR EVEN THE BLOODY CAR PARK IF THEY OWN ANYTHING FROM THE GOLF CHANNEL OR JJB.

WE SHOULD FIGHT THEM IN THE BUNKERS WITH THEIR ALIEN WEDGES AND ON THE TEE WITH THEIR K1 SPEED AND EVEN IN THE ROUGH WITH THE KNIFE OR GOD HELP US ... THE PERFECT CLUB !!!!!!

SOLIDARITY !!!!!!!!!!

How on earth did they manage to rope Taylormade into making tat for them? Justin Rose should hang his head in shame.

It is called LICENCING ........ Some chinese manufacturer sells 5hit loads of them to JJB and they pay a royalty to Taylormade for every unit sold. It happens all the time. It is legalised forgery.

Not seen any adverts, but have found a new wedge. Some sort of innovative sole design 'that titleist and cleveland don't have' is the unique selling point. Also looks like a copy of the vokey spin milled face.

Might be the real deal, but tough to compete when most of the other stuff out there on the net is tat.

Murphthemog - You've just uncovered the Golf Channels next 'must have' golfing accessory.

I just don't know how us golfers have coped all these years without one of these babies in the bag.

Our golfing nightmares will be cured, not ;)

DHM.
