Some Herbert has had a spending spree online with one of my credit cards. Provider picked it up after a few transactions and have issued me with a new card plus cancelled the amounts. I only use the card online on secure websites and it's locked away in a safe so how the hell have they managed to do it:rant:

Quite possibly hacked one of those "secure" websites.

Mine was done a few weeks back. Its the one I use for travel expsenses so couls have been done anywhere.

Me too, last month. Used for online transactions. I suggested that they tell the police to nip round to the delivery address. No idea if that is what they do.
I don't know how the crooks do it, but I am pretty sure if they put their minds to earning a decent living, they would do very well. They are obviously not daft, just dishonest.

I had a similar experience a few years ago and I've become pretty OCD about checking it online every couple of days now, whether I've used it or not

I do this as well - tend to check every day or so. Mine got done a couple of years ago but they only managed to put through the small tester transaction before I noticed and got the card cancelled.

mine got done 3 years ago,i havent told anyone BECAUSE they are spending less than the wife!!!!!!!
should i get my coat???

I've just ordered you a new one using Homer's card. Had to get a Ping one so it fit in with his previous transactions.

My debit card was cloned last week, about a dozen online transactions, mainly in the USA for some reason.

Barclays were pretty sharp and picked up on it quickly though so no harm done.

You have your credit card locked away in a safe? That's a touch paranoid isn't it? :)
