Crazy scoring day,

Stableford at our club today and scores were through the roof, given the fog I was expecting lowish scores but no, 3 lots of 45, all with blobs on their cards.

My poor 40 points only earned me a 10th place spot.

Anyone else had days where they thing they're on for a half decent placing only to have the rug pulled out from under them!

Was the course set up easy or was it just a strange day for 3 golfers to get 45?

Normally you was get one mid 45's then a group around the 40 mark. There were some tricky pin spots, and we all teed off in heavy fog so I expected the later groups to have better conditions but didn't expect 3 lots of 45

We normally get 50+ entries for most comps. 40 has you in with a chance but a 44/45 isn't unheard of, but not in threes.

Maybe playing in fog had everyone being a bit more controlled? Not trying to blast the ball for miles?

I think he's saying they usually get 50+ competitors entering - with 40 points common and 45 points frequent.

Had 40 today in Presidents prize ,1st seven holes were dangerous with fog (got thru them @+2.) only 9 points off the leader however .. mind you 40 pts in our gaf is .2 or .4 cut and lucky to get in top 15 ha
