Off up Silloth this weekend for a nice weekend of golfing fun with some other forum members + guests.

Bentham tomorrow afternoon after a nice pub lunch to kick things off but the main event is really on the Sunday at Silloth with a team open.

I've had Lincoln quacker on Whatsapp all week giving it the big un but when I offered him a team bet of £10 per man he disappeared quicker than his handicap has risen :D

I've offered to throw the money in for any of our team who don't fancy the bet I'm that confident

So this me calling you out publicly Lincoln quacker, Captainron you too as I know you might be watching :D

The teams for interested onlookers :-

Three men & a little lady
Dan the man off 4
Trevor the bandit
Captainron
Lincoln Quacker

Mean machine
NWjocko
Junior
Birchy
Odvan

Will this stir a response? I'm not sure they have got the bottle.

Really looking forward to this weekend

I'm up for a team bet, jeez I could walk round smoking cigars and not bothering with you 3 in my team

Can't wait to get back to Silloth, love the place. You're score there last time would probably be a decent enough team score iirc......

Me too, might even get two decent days of weather and just a gentle breeze at Silloth.

Yep, Birchy is tellin the truth, LQ has been calling us fit to burn but is cacking a team bet, all mouth and no trousers.

He did say that he fancies himself for the singles on Saturday though as he's in good form, currently

You're forgetting that Birchy is the Godfather of Bandits ;)
At selby last week he Defo wasn't a bandit

Looking forward to this weekend as it will be nice to play silloth without a 50mph wind for a change.

Pmsl, form of my life eh. Collecting 0.1s for fun.

I shall be handing over £10 tomorrow at Bentham I am sure of that!

Easy track that Siloth

Always good when your parter chips in from off the green for birdie on the first. Well when I say chips in, I mean holes from 100 yards out

Yes, after she duffed her second.

You could have beaten us left handed that day. My first "experience" of having Lincoln Quaker as a partner.......

Enjoy lads, sorry I cant join you - I'll be in the H-H-H-H-ungarian Parliament that day, Granville - I know your just so jealous.

Enjoy it fellas! the forecast looks good for a change.

I've only played Silloth once on a calm sunny day and it was one of the best days Ive had on a golf course.

Looks like Theres considerable weight on Trev the Bandits Shoulders..:)

How did it go, Good weekend?

Yep was a good weekend

Sun was shining today for the first time I've been there, still pretty breezy though that led to some interesting shots downwind on the back 9 especially

The wheels fell off the dream team after a promising start and angry/goat track Birchy made an appearance......

I was brutal for the last 3 holes on the front 9 and let the side down really, was good before that and OK after it when I actually lasered the flag rather than the mound of clag behind it

How did it go, Good weekend?

The only thing on fire in our fourball was someone's arse :D

Great weekend, Bentham was extremely wet with the worst buggy paths, ever but taking yet another ten spot off Beglynda always makes for a good days golf.

Cracking curry. Good choice Quacker.

Silloth, well, we 'thought' we may get away with a normal gentle breeze but alas, it was true Silloth gentle breeze so some usual tough holes out, and some hilarious ones coming back. Some serious distances hit by Jocko and Captain Ron.

It was best 3 from 4 we found out when we got there, 125 was winning when we got in....by the first group out at 7:20am.

The fillet steak burger was sublime.

Oh and industrial estates in Carlisle make for good walks at 4:30am, apparently :D
