Old man in law kept talking about a course called Walton hall just up the way from where i live. So last Monday he took me up to have a look at it. Couldnt beleive it when i got there. Pulled of an A road onto a well smart, quiet little estate/village thingy ma bob and then just out of no-where was this old looking club house with a stunning 18th adjacent. 6 cars in the car park (2 where dog walkers).Place was dead but sun was shinning and not a cloud in the sky. Went in to the club house after a good old nosey around and was greeted by two old ladies. Paid for a round and they informed us because it was 50/50 tempory greens it would only be £10 each, bargain i thought. Anyway, i was very impressed. Greens looked fantastic and the course was quite mixed up. long holes, short holes, plenty of water and sand, uphill and down. No one backing us up and no one bringing up the rear either. I must say it was one of the best places i have played since i started the game and the place is still mostly under repair. I cant wait to go back in the summer when the place is finished and get a 4 ball going.
Has anyone else played here? Thoughts please if ya have, or if ya from the north west and you know of any other good muni's at value for money let us know!!!!
