I have in my mind a list of courses that I believe must be played before I die, some due to their historical connections and others because there is something special or unique about them. Some of these I have played, some still to be ticked off.

In no particular order

1) The Old course, St Andrews
2) Sunningdale
3) North Berwick
4) St Enodoc
5) Royal North Devon
6) Prestwick
7) Musselburgh
8) Swinley Forest
9) Pebble Beach (USA)
10) Cape Kidnappers (New Zealand)
11) Royal Melbourne (Australia)

Please feel free to add any others you think should be on your lists :)

PS....I have deliberately left off those that ain't never going to happen like Augusta etc.

Well---i have no particular courses in mind----but i surely would like to play more links courses-----havent been to Scotland and Wales yet for play on links courses---only been to England and ireland and have had the privilge to play some links courses there.

Royal County Down is top of my list in the UK. Royal Birkdale and Turnberry not far behind. Pebble Beach and Harbour Town in the States. Finca Cortesin in Spain.

I have no courses on my list to play before I die.
I do appreciate playing nice courses, but when you get to the top courses you
can be talking hundreds of pounds, and I cant afford them.
As long as the course is in good nick, the weathers nice, and the companys good im a
happy golfer.
I am looking forward to playing Woodhall spa next year,i hope the weathers better than last time.

Including courses I've already played and intend playing again at some point (Dornoch in 2014)

1. Old Course St Andrews (played)
2. Royal Dornoch (played)
3. Lahinch (played)
4. Royal Portrush
5. Royal County Down
6. Cruden Bay (on list to play in 2014)
7. Ballybunion Old
8. Old Head
9. Pacific Dunes
10. Streamsong

Not impossible. Just very unlikely. There is/was a forum member who had played it

A friend of mine has also played it and I know a former British amateur champ who played in the Masters.

But this is my game, my rules........ now change your middle choice or I'll send the boys round :sbox:

Not sure why RND is on your list Gordon. 5/6 good links holes, and the rest are mostly blind shots over reeds. It does have the best clubhouse in the world according to the Pro. If you do play it, I suggest you put spikes on your wellies, so you don't ruin your golf shoes stepping in all the sheep .... :)

I had Dinner at pebble beach and the 1st and 18th looked stunning. Think they where doing play and stay for $600

Only 4 blind holes really. Interesting club house because of the artefacts and I'm not talking about some of the members

Not many on my bucket list.

1) Gleneagles - the one they used for the BBC Pro celeb stuff.
2) Royal Birkdale.
3) Little Aston, near Birmingham.
4) As a maybe but won't cry myself to sleep if I don't. Turnberry.

There quite number that I could put in as #4, e.g. Wentworth & Sunningdale.

Think the pro celeb was on the Queens Course - watched Sean Connery and Lee Trevino episode on YouTube recently and that was certainly the case with that one
