Me and my brother (jacetheace) are travelling up on the Wednesday next week after work, we're staying Wednesday night then the GM meet is on Thursday, we're staying Thursday night and heading home on Friday. But we mentionned earlier we may be able to fit in a quick game on Friday morning, can you recommend anywhere nearby we could have a quick round thats not too expensive? Also does anyone else want to join us?

I organised a meet up that way last year at Whittington Heath and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It's not a million miles from Beau but I don't know how much it would cost for a round. Well worth a visit though, tough track but in lovely (lovely) condition.

So far it's between Whittington Heath and St. Thomas' Priory. Little Aston looks fantastic but is too expensive at £80 a round. Whittington is £40 which is more up my street. Cheers.

Never played St Thomas's but take it from me. You won't be disappointed with Whittington Heath. Super course and some lovely holes. Some tough gits as well!!
Little Aston was on my itinerary too until I found out how much it was going to cost, and that's now been deleted from my SatNav's "favourites"....

Get yerself across to Whittington. And take plenty of balls. If they let that rough grow, you'll need 'em

I'll also recommend Whittington Heath. It's a very good heathland course, pretty similar to Beau but not quite as tough. Should prepare you for the next day.

Another course you may wish to consider is Brocton Hall which is a few miles away from Beau.
