Course Still Closed!

Is Blairgowrie the only ourse still closed because of the snow? Ten weeks of frustration is beginning to take it's toll. Luckily I'm managing some links golf, but I want to get back home!

Ours is open and mostly dry.
Had a word with one of the Greenkeepers this morning and he tells me they desparately need to treat the greens for a disease but the weather isn't right for it.

Most of the fairways and greens are solid ice. The problem seems to be the narrow tree lined fairways which prevents the sun and wind getting to the ice to allow a thaw. We did have it bad though.

Luckily your able to get a game somewhere.i know i would be going crazy.Having said that our course was frozen today,and i can safely say it drives me mad.The only conselation was i drove fairly well,but as for the rest,best forgotten.Hope you get back to your own course soon.

And here's me getting frustrated that we're on temps first thing in the morning becasue of overnight frost. I feel for you. Will you get a reduction in fees?

The course would be open for me. The bits of the course I play on seem to be snow and ice free, can't see a problem there.

Well another week and a thaw over the weekend. Great expectations that the course would finally be open this week as the course status had gone from "Unplayable due to ice and snow" to Unplayable due to flooding". I couldn't believe it this morning when I woke and looked out of the window.... another 2" of snow over night. Never mind, off to Florida on Saturday albeit without the practice I had hoped for. Perhaps by the time I get back the course might be open.
