I was always under the impression if you broke the course record on a temp tee it wouldnt stand. Can anyone confirm this???

I missed the scratch course record by 2 shots however i beat the stableford record by 2 shooting 45 points.

Our 9th medal tee was moved 60 yards to the box tee due to the fairway being waterlogged and in play for alot of our older members.

I believe any course record can't be valid on a course below qualifying length and on pick and place. If the temp tee is within the 100 yards of the measured course then maybe it's valid ?

From the R&A

term “course record” is not defined in the Rules of Golf. However, it is generally accepted that a record score should be recognised as the official “course record” only if made in an individual stroke play competition (excluding bogey, par or Stableford competitions) with the holes and tee-markers in their proper medal or championship positions.

It is recommended that a record score should not be recognised as the official “course record” if a Local Rule permitting preferred lies is in operation.

Good shooting whether it stands as a record or not
