I'm going down to Celtic Manor in a couple of weeks time and am looking to play somewhere on the way down. Am willing to travel a little off the M4 and not too fussed about budget.

I look forward to hearing your suggestions.

I assume Burnham and Berrow would be too much of a detour?

Otherwise:

Bowood
Bath
St Pierre
The Manor House Golf Club
Cumberwell Park

I think it is too far really. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out. I was looking at the Players Club as it's so close to the M4, anyone played there recommend it?

Mendies your man for the players club

beat me too it.

Literally 2mins off the M4 (Bath Jct) and in fantastic condition at the moment.

Its a modern club, very American with water on a lot of holes, but i promise you, you wont be dissapointed.

I cant stand the guy, but Mark Crossfield was there last season, so his video (presses Mute) is on youtube. He also is very complimentary

I'm also a member @ Burnham, but its at least 30mins from the M4

Marlborough and Ogbourne are both 5 mins off jct 15. Both pleasant enough without setting the world alight.

The players is a great track and only 2 mins from my house.

My home course Chipping Sodbury, is in fantastic condition at the moment and a very nice course.

Kendleshire and Castle Combe ( Manor house) are also fantastic courses, altho I've not played Manor house, only heard great things about it.

If you need a playing partner and I'm off work I'd be happy to join you for a knock.
