Hi all

I am going to be near to Stoke Poge on the 10th December and wondering if anyone has any course recommendations for courses that are not too expensive to play and hopefully not be too muddy? Unfortunately Stoke Park is out of my price range.

Thanks

Rich

Farnham Park (now called South Bucks) is right next door to Stoke, a decent public course and was usually always well kept. Wexham Park. another public course is just up the road as well but that will be like a quagmire this time of year most likely. Then moving up the price ladder and probably about 15 mins from Stoke are Lavendar Park and Burnham Beeches. Both nice courses but ring ahead to make sure you can get on.

Couple of years back I had a winter membership at Richings Park, not too far from there. It's not going to make anyone's top 10, but it's a decent enough track that held up pretty well in winter and not too expensive. Might fit your requirements?

I used to be a member at Wexham Park and it's not that bad in winter. They have put a lot of drainage in over the years. Not a very long course, but it has some good holes. As a pay and play course it's quite good value. :)

Thank you for the recommendations. I have discovered that the course I play at has a reciprocal arrangement with the lambourne so I have booked to go there.
Hopefully it stays dry on Wednesday!
