Course not closed but first round of the winter singles tomorrow with planned winds of 30-40mph, given our course is open and on top of the surrey downs this could play more like 50mph

Shut at ours as well, not looking good for winter league in the morning either. Wouldn't be surprised if the local footy is off as well which means I'd have turned down and invitational at SAOL for nowt.

I suspect some greens will be starting to sink, the rain is horizontal and its blowing a hollow as well.

Just heard from a few playing palls that we have lost the big oak in our 5th which guarded the left half of the green and medal pin position - gutted!
we were forecast heavy rain and 40 MPH wind this morning, good old BBC had it totally wrong again, flat calm, 14 deg with hardly a could in the sky.
