Could this be the ultimate stats machine?

I saw something about this when it first came out and really liked the idea of it. Its just simple to use and happens in the background without having to do anything - plus it looks to be priced at the right sort of level. Why not ??

I hope there is a setting for 'forum yardage' though !!

Interesting that the two pro's using it are British!

It looks interesting and I'm sure I would use it for a few rounds, however i suspect that the novelty value would wear off. If it's as good as it looks then a lot of people will like it, however for me I'm not sure that I would bother to get the full benefit of it, will certainly keep an open mind tho as I would like to like it.

I'm sure I've seen it before. I quite like the look of it. However i'm not sure I could be bothered, but that says more about me than the product.

I have recorded stats, and used apps like the ping putter app before and lost interest pretty quickly.

It would certainly appeal to some analytical golfers.

The voice over fella would soon get infracted off here, with his liberal use of the 'weekend warrior' label:o

For any you who run or cycle you would prob have used the Garmin Connect or Strava apps. The strava app compares your stats against other peoples and it gets quite competitive.

This application will definitely take off in the UK, I would use it but the price looks a bit steep ATM. Be useful for your teaching pro who could really have a look at your game when not on the range.

And you could really prove how far you hit your driver lol

249 dollars. !!!

Do people actually pay that money just to remember their stats !?

Once the road is finished I'm more interested in a drink and a bite to eat as opposed to my GIR or FIR etc

Struggling with works computer opening website but, this has been quiet for a while I remember a bit of a fanfare about it 6 months or maybe more ago, Gmac and westy IIRC were championing the cause.

Nice. If I had some disposable ££ to the tune of the cost I'd seriously consider this. Like these systems where there is no hiding from the evidence (as long as it's accurate) and you can get a true picture of your game.

I would have thought it would be a great tool for a teaching pro - kit you up, send you out and analyse your play when you get back. Obviously not as good as a full course lesson but useful nevertheless.

If it's the one I've seen before, GMac liked it so much he invested some of his money in it.

Looks like a great learning/teaching aid and not at the Trackman/Flightscope price level. About half the price of a new Driver; significantly less than a Putter; about the same as a couple of Vokeys; a bit more than a couple of custom built ICYGolf wedges.

Who is buying it then?

Imagine watching it back after a shocking round though. Hmm player A is stood in middle of fairway but his pitching wedge seems to be heading towards the trees?

I've been following this for the last 8-12 months and I'm quite interested in it. I love a gadget and whilst the novelty factor may well wear off I'll almost certainly give it a go.

As things stand they have a lot of the UK's courses mapped however it's not available here as yet. I've asked to be kept informed and last contact I had they were hoping to ship to us by the summer. No exact dates so we'll just have to wait and see.

Just received a email from them saying this is out in the App Store now and available to buy in uk from their website on the 17th april
