Our crew are going back there later this year. We have 4 of our 5 rounds booked. We've not booked the day of arrival yet due to problems last year with flight delays so waiting till the day to make sure everythings ok. Just wondering what courses any of you have played and what you thought of them so we can compile a mini shortlist to give the agency before we take off.

We are already booked to play Santa Maria, Santana, La Quinta and La Cala (Asia). Any recommendations relatively close to the airport would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

Santa Maria is my favourite in Costa del Sol. I'm a big fan of Mijas, both Los Lagos and Los Olivos for good wide-open faiwways and good holiday golf. La Quinta and Torrequebrada are also good courses, but keep away from Monte Major.

Ive played both courses at Mijas, and also reccomend a visit. Its a really enjoyable golf destination. Only two courses I've played in the Costa Del Sol though, so can't reccomend anywhere else.

Don't know why you say keep away from Montemayor,I go back eachtime and think it is simply superb!others to not miss are indeed Santa Maria,La Cala always good, wouldnt touch Torrequbrada as in awful nick and recommend los arqueros for value for money golf.
