I tried a friends driver at the range and got on well with it, he's happy to sell cheaply to me. My niggle is that I keep my clubs in pristine condition where possible but the head on his driver has sky marks/small chips where the face meets the crown (plus the grip is knackered but thats an easy fix), is there any DIY ways to clean the face and repair these niggly chips as I see them when addressing the ball- plus I dont want people thinking its me that put them there:rolleyes:

I've never tried it but for car bumper repairs you can get a black version of superglue. It's very good at filling little chips.

Just like you would treat a chip on your car paintwork mate. Little 3 pen kit you can get from Halfrauds. Primer, paint and lacquer then a rub down with coloured T-cut. I joked on another thread about my OCD cleaning clubs but using T-Cut on the crowns is something I have done for a while. Scratches on my 5-wood are gone (from gorse bushes in my swing path).

No worries mate.
BTW, 630FT in action at the weekend, cracking stuff - at least 20yds longer and with the balanced weight much straighter as well :D cheers

Glad you like it, I did also and the weights certainly helped, loved the Fubuki shaft as well.......remind me why I sold it and will probably buy a chipped old club now........ah yes, I remember, its to play my second shots from the fairway........in theory

Darthvegas search for his Driver....continues (cue apprentice music)

Good luck with the search mate. From my game Sunday I think my bag is just about sorted, maybe try a different ball but clubs are feeling good right now :D
