Had the pleasure of playing this course today with forum member full throttle ( rob ) absolute gem of a course, located 5 mins from coventry city centre ( you wouldn't know it ) tucked away amongst the trees, you'd think you were playing out in the country, you don't even notice that your playing a course that's near a busy city centre, surprised how quiet it was. don't let the fact it's a 9 hole course put you off, it's got some of the best holes in the area, a true test of golf, this course will test all your shot making skills, you can't just stand on the tee and blast away with your driver, each hole has it's own character and will need careful shot selection, mature trees line each fairway and any wayward shots will often find you having to play a sensible shot back to the fairway or the more adventurous players can try and find a way through the trees, the fairways are superb, I hadn't played here for well over 10 years and the changes I could see were superb, greens were excellent, there was a true roll on every green, they're not big sloping greens, but by no means small either ,there's some subtle breaks and even the shortest of putts need your attention, ( apologies to rob as i often forgot the attention bit 😃) the local river sowe winds it's way through the course and comes into play on most of the holes, ( the water lever may have risen today due to the amount of balls I put in it ) but having a river going through the course does have it's downside, it is prone to flooding during the winter months, but I find that most courses in the area aren't much better either, with a full 7 day membership for £519 you won't find any better value for money in the area, I'll be honest and say I live in coventry and for some reason copsewood has never really appealed to me, mainly because I prefer 18 holes to playing 9 but after today it's definitely on my play again list, if your in the area or passing through give it a go, you won't be disappointed, thanks for the game rob, was a pleasure, hope your shoulders aren't too sore from carrying me 😃

Some good golf out there today, despite the weather the course played well. When I left the clubhouse at 6pm the leading scores were 43 and 42,

Spoke with a few other guests who all enjoyed the course, so we must be doing something right.

Chris when you come over next let me know and I might try and join you.
