Doon, I'm afraid you have your wires crossed. Connie lost the final to Gabrielle macdonald.
I agree with your sentiment, however. I played in this and found the course very tough, especially in the windy conditions for the first round on Tuesday. Connie had the first round lead with a one under par 73 which I am frankly in awe of. Clearly a rising star.
(For context, playing off 5 I shot 90 and didn't actually play too badly. The women that compete to win this are on a totally different level!)
