A mate of mine that I grew up with in Croydon has just won the Mylan Calssic on the Nationwide Tour.

I think he will be around 6th place on the order of merit. The top 25 at the end of the season get their PGA cards.

I think Gary has done enough to get his PGA card!

Well done Gary and good luck for next season mixing it with the big boys!

Never heard of him to be honst but nonetheless always good to see a mate do well in any field either sporting, academic or professional. I'll try and remember him for next year on the tour. Which part of Croydon you from as I grew up not a million miles away (only a 157 bus ride) in Morden and so was often over that way. Played many a Sunday morning game of footie (hungover) at Purley Way

Gary lived in Carshalton. I got him his first job in a Croydon office. We were both junior members at Addington Palace which is in South Croydon on the Surrey/Kent border. I was lucky and lived backing onto the course.

Gary went to Auburn University (Alabama) in the mid 90s and now lives in Dallas.

Oh the purley Way football pitches!
