Our greens are at least a month behind being at their best this year. Are any of the other Forumers' parkland courses struggling with their greens? Links course players need not respond as they will be good all year round. The meadow grass in our greens, which seems to grow about 5 times faster than the bent/fescue..etc, is causing a real problem - inconsistent, bobbly, blotchy. Would like to hear from you.

yes our greens are still behind what they were last year id say mid june and they will be near on perfect quite a few visiting scratch teams said last year they were some of the best greens in leeds

Our greens are terrible. I'm told they are normally only good for 2 months of the year but they bobble like anything and all of the have a bald patch on them somewhere!

Our greens are a little hairy at the moment.......The club usually protects them when there is a lot of society competitions on....But for club comps they will have them running pretty fast and flat.

We didnt even have grass on our greens until last month  but they are coming along quite nicely now, hopefully they are at their best just in time for the championship

Very mixed bag for us.
Some greens are superb but others bobble like mad. Makes it a bit tricky. Give them another month and they should be fine.

i have played at a few courses recently and i have to say the greens at ilford are pretty good. have played at some exspensive places where i would have an easy putt on a tin roof.

Our greens are running really well at the moment although can be a little hairy during the week(Not getting cut right down yet). But what i've heard from others who have played elsewhere round about us, comments from visitors and my visit to The Dukes, our greens are as good as anywhere if not better.

Our greens look ropey but seem to be putting pretty well

That seems like a fair assessment of Ascot Homer. When I played last week and saw them I was a little dissapointed but they were actually quite good to putt on. Seemed pretty true and no bobbles to speak of.

Ours at Hoebridge are looking pretty good. They were a bit slower than usual last time I was there last weekend but they look good and are true. I expect they will be quick again when I go on Wednesday.

Played on several courses lately and ours are the worst of the bunch. Very inconsistent , patchy and bare in places. Far too much grass where theyve tried overseeding so consequently pretty slow. All in all not good at all and easily costs a shot or two per round. There are signs of improvement but at this stage of the year and having seen the other courses i'm very disappointed in the condition of ours.
