I don’t think that “composite” is the right term and that there is an accepted term which I have forgotten ... anyway, here goes. I read a while ago of a guy in the US who had been a member of his golf club for 40+ years and, in that time, he had eagled several holes and birdied the rest, with the result that his composite score (i.e. the total of his best ever scores on each hole) was something like 32.

In the three years at my club, I have birdied 7 of the holes and parred the rest, for a composite score of 65 ... as against a best single round on the course of 94.

What is your composite score for your club’s course, as against your best round?

Eclectic 30 under par (41 against a par of 71)
Best round 3 under par (68)

Still yet to have a hole in one on 3 par threes and eagle 2 of the par 4s

Par is 72, SSS is 73, my Eclectic is 72 according to HDID, 88 is my best score. My eclectic was a significant surprise to me :D.

You guys with eclectics in the 40's, you do know the question is about 18 holes, not just 9?

-17 for the eclectic, 55 against par 72 (13 birdies & 2 eagles, 3 pars (and always grateful to do so!)).

Best round is 79, never broke 80 since.

I've eagled 7 (including 2 holes in 1) and birdied the rest so over the years my best eclectic score would be -25 (46)

The total of my best score on each hole at my course is 61. 30 front nine, 31 back nine. Our par is 68, so from that you can deduce that there are 7 holes I have birdied, and 11 that I never have.

Interesting fact about our first hole (a tricky par 3) - I have birdied it twice, but never once parred it.

Edit: Oh, and my best actual round on my course was 84.

-15 against a par of 71 for me, so 56.

Not too sure what my best is, think it is 6 over so around 77.

That is in one season, birdied every hole apart from 3 with no eagles.

First club I was at I'd eagled 10 and birdied the rest. So 43 on a par of 71. Best score 70.
2nd club was 5 eagles and the rest birdies. So 47 on a par of 70. Best score 66
Current club is 4 eagles and the rest birdies so 51 on a par of 73. Best score 75.
Bit of luck and that number will improve.

At the current home course, I have birded every hole and eagled 2 of the par 5s, so a 51 ( off yellow tees par 71) best score off yellows I think was 72.

Some cracking scores above.

I have played the same course for over 30 years so my chances of having a good eclectic are a bit better than someone who has only played there for a few years.

Hmm tough one because I've only just started again in last couple months so since then and my club best score 75, eclectic 67.

Looking back at my old course pre stopping playing which was a par 68.
Best Score : 65
Eclectic: 54

Lots of room to improve there with eclectic

I've got the record at my old club for the 18-hole course (10 eagles and eight birdies) -28 for a gross 40. And also the nine-hole course (one albatross, three eagles and five birdies) -14 for a gross 19.

The ladies section at my place run a 9 hole eclectic comp through the winter. I think it's a great idea and they get a good turnout each Saturday morning for it.

I'm 15 under in 10 months. The back 9 looks decent at 11 under but there's a few birdies to be had on the front 9.
