I have been trying for years to win something in prize draw competitions. i am actually beginning to think that if i didn't have bad luck i wouldn't have any luck at all
Has anyone won any Golf competition prizes and if you have what did you get?

I am with you on this. I have never won anything in a prize draw.

I have won some golf balls before but that was it.

No luck in golf prize draws but I did once win a year's supply of crisps.

Only problem was I had to pick a single flavour so I plumped for Tomato Sauce flavour. A box of 48 duly arrived every month for a year. 576 packets of the same bloody flavour.

I haven't touched a packet since...

No joy for me either. I enter every month on the GM and Todays Golfer sites and not had a sniff. Mind you I have done OK out of GM (challenge match, article in last months mag, SW and Rossa Spider for my web blog and last months effort) so I can't complain too much

I enter all the GM competitions and have been unsuccessful so far although it is not surprising as the number of people who must enter makes the odds of it being you highly unlikely. However one day my luck will change- I quite fancy the fully custom fitted set of Cobra clubs on offer currently seeing as you can have it done at Brampton- just down the road from me.

It seems just a scam to get your details for the marketing lot, they then sell the said details on.

the bit I don't like, and this is true of virtually all marketing, is that some things you have to opt out of (by ticking the box) while others, on the same 'form', you have to opt in to, also by ticking the box.

also it's the positioning of these options. the first is an opt in - so you leave the box blank. skim read the next as you really are not interested and thereby probably miss that it's an opt out and you've just agreed to be Stringfellows body double.

Ain't won anything but have had a 3 wood to test/keep, a Cleveland hat for getting my question to David Howell printed and also some Masters tees and ball marker for similar reward.

I won the April comp. Cf mizuno/nippon shaft clubs.
I now own a set of MP57's.
Beutiful clubs but harder to play than the Cally X20's.

I have never won anything before BTW and thought this was a wind up

Won a bottle of wine once at a village festival - putting with rock hard balls and no-nonsense putters on a cowfield trying to hit them through a small hole in a wall!!

Got 3 and won - big deal......
