Our first medal is on Easter weekend and has been eagerly anticipated by me and my PPs.

Question is, do you have any aims for the first medal of the season or are you just going to see how it goes easing in?

My handicap is higher than I play to so am hoping to shoot at least 5 under. This may be bold for the first medal though!

Just to keep playing consistently, or at least as consistent as an 18 handicapper can play :D
Then again it's the first time off the whites for a long time and there's some cacky pants tee shots at our place.

28th is our first.
I'm hoping for a cut, my play over winter would indicate I'd be nailed on, but I've gone off the boil a bit last few rounds.
Still aiming for a cut and will be a bit disappointed with anything less.

Same aim as all the other rounds - to enjoy it

Ive found its best not to get your hopes up and just play and enjoy.

Thats loser talk Phil, Aim to win. and win big, then when you do, dance and high five all your playing partners on the 18th. Boooom!

I'm a shy quiet type - am quiet as a mouse if I sneak a lucky win :o

Me too, I am actually a 14 year old schoolboy with no real friends, so i hide behind a keyboard and pretend I am this good looking mid (read high) handicap golfer with too many kids. If i had real friends, they would be so envious right now.

I'm the opposite

I'm a 65 year old recluse - never been married or even kissed , no friends and a HC of 25 pretending to be a cat 1 gofer :o

I'm not overambitious, particularly on the first of the season but will be aiming for buffer. Ours is a tough start and off my handicap my first real 'moving' hole is the 5th, unless I sink a long putt or hit it stiff on the par 3 4th.

But I always go out to try and enjoy it, and over the years I now tend not to make such a big thing of it as I used to.

We run Q comps through the winter but our first Medal was last weekend.
Approach it the same as any other competition.
In the event a 0.4 cut was a welcome change from the last few (many) 0.1 increases!

as its not until the end of April (dont start me) I would hope to beat h/cap but as long as I hit the ball well the score will come....eventually.

You better watch out someone might try to groom you:D

Not to blob the 4th

Not to blob the 4th

Not to blob the 4th.........

That and to just relax.

Especially when I am on the 4th tee box.

Relax and do not blob the 4th.....
