Comparison wins?

As a big Rory fan, I am biased but I think Rory's were better after his previous capitulation in the Masters. To come back from that in such a way was impressive.

Speith's Masters performance was magnificent, however he was close the year before, therefore not as big a jump for me (if that makes sense)

Chambers Bay showed his strength in what was a war of attrition

I was gutted for him at St Andrews, although I half expected to hole his 2nd on the 18th.

Cant wait to see them both out there in a final pairing for a Major.

Rory for me, but I will admit to being biased.

The Masters was basically over the first day with the score Spieth posted - with how soft the course played (balls stopping when they usually roll off to disaster etc.) throughout it wasn't really thrilling; I was more impressed with his win at Chambers especially given how more experienced pros took real exception to the course. Excitement came in the form of DJ missing that putt but it's more in the quality/ composure of Spieth on that course that was impressive. The John Deere was okay, but everybody that was anybody was in the UK preparing for the Open

Rory, winning The Open in 3 days basically was arguably as impressive but similarly lacked some excitement... however being 3(I think?) with 9 to play and chasing down PM & RF, teeing off behind them on the 18th and finishing in the dark - all super dramatic. Coupled with the WGC win against a stellar field with a super display of driving - just awesome.

So Rory for me, but they've both very different styles - there's something very predictably professional about Spieths wins, whereas Rory is much more unpredictable.

Think Rory's first win with the baggage from the Masters meltdown was huge. That said I find it hard to judge like for like other than looking forward to seeing them go head to head in the final round of majors for years to come. Head to head in the next RC would be rather juicy too
