Anyone else goin.
Anyway tomorrow the season kicks off. No more friendlys. Its mono e mono.
Will the centurions retain the title. Is it Liverpools year. When does the MOT run out on UTDS bus. Come what may, Tashyboys close season practice singing of Blue Moon will be in full rendition tomorrow.
Looking forward to a lovely day out in the quiet hamlet of Wemberlee.

I think competitive top flight football kicks off next Friday night. There’s some game for charity tomorrow.

Mono e mono” is an error caused by mishearing the Spanish expression mano a mano which means not “man-to-man” but “hand-to-hand,” as in hand-to-hand combat: one on one.

Glad to help BIM. 👍😁

Can't get excited by a glorified friendly. Can't wait for the season to kick off no and see if the mighty Fulham can hold their own enough to stay up

No hopefully straight back down to where they belong!! 😂😂

Agree with you on the first bit though - can't get excited about a glorified friendly even though my team is playing in it. Thought it was only Arsenal fans who considered it a meaningful trophy to play for.........😉😂😂😂

If you really want to help try typing it properly in the first place

1990-ish, when I wouldnt miss a Liverpool game, unless a leg hanging off, I got off a plane from Tenerife, girlfriend at the time's mam, picked me up from Manchester at 6am, took me straight to Anfield road, got on a coach to Wemberlee - had a 5 hour kip, went the game.

5 years later couldnt be arsed, at all.

glorified friendly, would watch if my team was involved, not bothered as a neutral.

Years ago was a season opener for all, no neutrals bothered nowadays.

Back in the day when there wasn't much live footie, on the box, there was some interest in the match...
Now we [seemingly] have wall to wall live coverage of just about every league and cup comp...
The interest level is marginally above zip...

It’s a day out for the hats & scarfs, a family affair, those that can’t usually get tickets home or Away but can go watch the team they support at wemberlee, lost its credability years ago, a nice friendly curtain raiser to see a few new signings but in the grande scheme of things, means nothing, unless your Arsenal 😜

Community Shield = Who gives a stuff?

Probably the prime example of the overselling that football at the "top" level has been guilty of in recent years.
