Not seen a single post about the Commonwealth games. I presume everyone finds them as much of a non event as I do. Not like the good old days of the Empire games - I can imagine the events, Pig-sticking, bear-bating, hare coursing and bare-knuckle fights -non of this trying to hit someone with big fluffy gloves on while they've got a pillow tied to their head. Any other events they should consider? (other than cock-fighting).

It's the usual problem with time differences (as much as with apathy); they are mostly shown between 11 am and 6 pm, when most of us are working, then a round-up at 7.
Hard to get interested.

It looks like there hasn't been much interest in the host nation either. Lots of news items concerning empty seats and near on empty venues.

I think the Indians have made a right balls up of the games with shoddy building and generally getting it wrong.
Funniest one was the 10m diving board which was 13 cms higher than 10m!!! LMAO. Believe me, that extra 13cms definitely makes a difference to a diver who has trained off a 10m dead board/platform.

Oh, and not really interested, the games have completely passed me by.

Apparently a top diver can tell if the board is 1cm too high. It messes up their timing completely.

Were they banking on the roof tiles falling in and raising the water level? :D

As soon as the big names in sort started dropping out months ago to save themselves for their own sports world championships or whatever you knew how low this event is held by the sportspeople themselves.
Like everyone else here it has passed me by, haven't watched any of it. Not interested.
I like watching golf, rugby and football. Sports like archery, swimmimng, diving, gymnastics, weightlifting etc etc I can't really be bothered watching.
To be honest the only part of the summer Olympics I'll watch is athletics and only the running part, not the field events. Winter olympics are better fun with people hurtling themselves down mountains on dinner trays, mogul skiing, boardercross etc.
Not sure these festivals of all sports are relevant any more. People probably like a handful of sports and will follow those at those sports own world champs.

On 'Sports Personality' I hope they find a spot for that wee guy in the steeplechase who had had enough.

Like a horse at Beechers Brook the second time round..he stopped, thought 'Oh Sh*t!' ... however he vaulted over into the water and made his sorry way home, miles behind the others.

He was 'Eddie the Eagle' of the games, in my opinion...A BIG 4'11" HERO!!

Someone must be able to get him up on You Tube and get on his case!
