Didn't play well Friday- timing was out, tempo was off, barely found the middle of a club...
Until the 15th....only got 28 points in total but got 9 on the last 4 holes including a simple par on the most difficult hole on the course.
430 yard par 4, uphill and into a light breeze - Driver, 5 iron and I'm on the green past the flag. 2 putts and it's a par.

Issues off the tee again. Scrambled for a few decent holes but I was taking one more shot at least than I needed to reach the green. Pity as I putted quite well

Complete crap till the 11th. On the first ten holes i scored 11 pts, the other 7 I scored 19 pts. (overall 4 blobs and a lot of 1 pointers). At least the weather was nice

no comp today, but was out last night, some good and some bad, another week to practice. Got some good advice from one of the members who joined us part way round. This auld fella was 68 plays of 12, his brother plays off scratch and his nephew is a pro and he could hit a decent ball.

Saved my worst round of the year for the best day of the year. Hit lots of good shots and putted well (see Supersoft ball thread) but all my mistakes cost me dearly - 8,4,8 (quad, single, triple) finish was not good!

No better for me. Scored a total of 28 points and was obviously going to be a crap round after driving a mile down the first, a wedge to the green and a slick putt for a birdie! 17 points on the front 9 and then I just couldn't cobble together a score for love nor money!

Played crap yesterday, matchplay game was 3 down after 5 holes,managed to get it back to all square on the 8th, terrible tee shot on the 9th lost me that hole, was never in it after that and lost 4 and 2 .
Another matchplay tomorrow so would need to at least cut out the 5/6 horrendous shots.

4 Comps, 4 +0.1's, started Season off 6, had Gross +11, +12, 26 points to take me up to 7, handicap had gone standing on the 7th tee today, finished +11 with 3 balls out of bounds and 2 shanks!!!!
Most frustrating thing is I'm playing really well for 13 or 14 holes, but somewhere in the round I play like it's my first time on a golf course!

Me too, minus the lessons, may need to book one, couldn't hit anything his week, irons popping off straight right, hooking my woods, only sensible club was my rescue and even that wasn't great
another disappointing round, shot 79 gross for buffer. 5 birdies, but made a real hash of the back 9 thats the lat 3 medals ive done that.

Played with my society, had a late night out in London on Thursday got home half one, awake at 5.30
To work everything that could go wrong went wrong, got to course 3/4 hour late for 11.45
Not too bad 1st couple of holes, then bad to worse ended up with 23 points off 22 (they lowered my h/c as I had won it before)
Swing was tired and over the top disappointing as I had been working on the over the top and coured it I thought
