Comeback Played Today

I have just played my comeback round and shot 88 1 over my handicap which I am very happy with got a comp in the morning.

At the end of the round the arm started to ache a little but otherwise held up fine.

Whoops sorry my mistake yeah I have spoke to the junior organisor about that billy he said that hes put me up a few shots as I have not played for weeks and that he knows what its like coming back from an injury from when he dislocated his shoulder.

Whats the point in having a handicap at your place as it can be changed at random just because you haven't played for a few weeks or becauase its winter. It seems any handicap there is a random number of shots given on any particular day.

No HJS he said use it as a "provisional" for a few weeks see how it goes and if it doesnt go too well I can hand in 3 new cards but if I get back to playing the way I was then I can go back to 17.4

Mono we have seniors at our club that have had strokes and not got shots back.Where do you play i will hand 3 card s in there!!! maybe they will take pity on my slump in form and give me a few shots back

Congratulations on the speedy recovery and the new handicap. Does your current handicap certificate, or any of your previous ones have congu authentication? Perhaps the system your club operates under is regulated by some unauthorised body, which may explain the vagaries of your handicap.

Well Mono, I'd point your cometition man to This and then see what he has to sya. Your handicap should not have been altered in that fashion. You should still be off the handicap you played off before your arm break.

I seem to recall Tiger Woods playing off of 8 on his return.
Made a lovely 4 for 3 down the par 4 5th and finished on 43 points the bandit

Have you been sleeping in an oxygen tent or something? Even someone your age won't heal that quickly surely?

I broke a finger a while back & was out of action for nearly 2 months.

20.3 played awful but the course is in shite condition rough needs cutting and the greens. Well if I could call them greens there is no grass on them its just black mud and when there is grass its like a fairway

handicaps of 10 17 and now 20.3. its like a game of stand up bingo
