It's supposed to be informative, accurate and help me decide what to do, what to wear and what to take with me. And yet they are ore often soooooooooooooo wrong. Who am I ranting about????

http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/7days.asp?zipcode=NG34%208XF

According to that, I should be leaving the country on Saturday night

Does anyone know a weather site that is anywhere near close to being accurate please?

Thanks

I used to use metcheck when I was flying and it was rubbish, bore absolutely no relation to the real weather. Try, if you can read a synoptic chart, the aviation site of the met office it generally is very good, you do have to register but it is free to get the basic 5 day synoptic charts along with winds.

I gave up on metcheck - one weekend it was supposed to be horrific so we aborted a camping trip - turned out to be the best weekend of last year - bbc new it but metcheck didn't :-(

I use the Weather for Golf App on my iPad or use the Golf website smiffy linked to a few months ago. Great for golf forecasts. Other than that, weather.com has never let me down.

I don't think its worth trusting anyone's forecast more than 36 hours ahead Bob, all it takes is for a butterfly to flap its wings in the Amazon and the wind can change 400 miles away.
The Beeb forecasts from that time are as good as anybodys. I use the official Met office to check rain falling and progess on a particular day but their forecast pages are a waste of time.

I always used to use the Greencast.co.uk site - aimed at groundsmen/greenkeepers but its gone over to being a subscription service (although I think you can get a free trial period)
