Anyone know for a nice warm cold weather golf jacket i can buy, i can not afford a galvin green buy would like a nice warm one if anyone can help

I'd advise a different route.

Waterproof outer layer - forget the warmth

'Cold' base layer - to keep you warm when necessary.

That way you are not restricted - both in the swing and for the use of the jacket.

However, Cross do, or have done, some waterproof jackets in a stretch fabric - not Goretex = that are quite warm. I had 5 years of hard out of mine. FTX is the fabric. I have 2 other Cross jackets, so plenty of 'love' for them.

my word they are cheap are the warm?

Hard to tell as it hasn't been cold enough to wear them yet! However both are fleece lined and the £26.00 is a softshell type jacket, very nice indeed.

The £19 is track top styled but fits nicely with a red fleece inside.

I also got myself the Torrent Jacket (£239.99>£64.99) and trousers (£119.99>£31.99). Fantastic suit 1/20,000 rated like Gore-Tex and stretch fabric

This. Waterproof rather than warm is the way to go for me. I have a Nike Storm fit jacket which is water/wind proof and with a polo shirt/base layer underneath, more than warm enough.

I tend to go for a base layer, cotton roll neck and wool jumper and beanie hat in the heart of winter and then put my FJ waterproof on if its wet. Plenty of room to swing and plenty warm enough without the need for a jacket unless I absolutely need it

If you are just looking for something to keep you warm rather than a waterproof jacket, the warmest piece of clothing I've got is a lined woollen jumper. Combine it with a thermal baselayer and it will keep you warm on the coldest of days and the best thing is you don't feel all bulked up and can swing freely.

Looked around online and you can pick them up for well under £50.
