Cold Ashby Golf Club

Played it a few years ago, Crow. It's a 27 hole layout and whilst I like the design I found it rather lacking when it came to general maintenance. Nice enough, and very friendly, and a course that's worth an occasional visit.

Play there every June in a charity day. There's 3 loops of nine, although we only ever play the Ashby (Red) and the Winwick (Yellow)

Nice enough course, generally in ok condition.

Not particularly long but some interesting par 4's, a couple are drivable, and an excellent long downhill par 3, its about 200 on the card but depending on the wind can play as short as an 8 iron. (Interestingly, this tee-box overlooks the biggest field in Europe, as one of my regular playing partner insists on telling us EVERY year.....)

Also there is an insanely long and uphill par 5 (7th IIRC), and the walk from this green up a very steep hill to the next tee generally renders anyone walking poleaxed for 10 minutes at the top.

Definitely worth playing, definitely get a buggy if you can.

Bar is ok, nothing special, decent enough changing rooms and showers.
