Well I've finally gone and done it, I signed up on Thursday. I am now a paid up member for the first tome in my life! Just need to dramatically reduce my handicap. Got a great deal of £70 for the last 2 1/2 months of the year, so saved a few quid too! Just needed to tell someone!

Just try to get as much golf in as possible over those 2 1/2 months then you really would have had a great deal, good golfing,enjoy.....

Lingdale golf club, just outside Loughborough, Leicestershire where I live. 10 mins max from home located in the Charnwood forest, front nine winds through the forest with beautiful views, back nine a little more open and longer in my opinion. More expensive than others but was alwYs my number one choice and favourite of our local courses.

They weren't taking new members when I was looking to join a club last year.
They are now but they have a joining fee.

Still shows a joining fee on the page I'm looking at. £500 up front or £600 over 4 years.

My excuse now is that I'm already a member of a club.

If I can afford to join again when subs are due I'll be looking at some others, Lingdale included.

I've played Lingdale any number of times and it's a really nice track. Playing the back nine a couple of times a week should keep you fit, too!

That was another reason for joining! I've put on two stone this year and can't fit into most of my trousers!
